You will be placed in a class in Pace High School to observe, and to conduct a lesson. You will be exposed to a step-by-step process of planning and implementing a well-thought out lesson. You will begin by participating in a workshop style practicum and will reflect on past teaching experiences, and discuss how established research and approaches learned during Stage 2 will affect your teaching. In addition, you will also observe experienced instructors.

You will be required to take notes on the lessons and be provided with a worksheet to guide your observations. When you return to the workshop, you will discuss the observations and compare impressions of the class, discuss optional activities and approaches, and create a new plan as a group.

You will be provided with individual guided lesson plan preparation using material you have developed through the program. You will teach lesson plans during workshops and be assessed by your fellow participants and the instructors. After receiving feedback and using your peer groups as training ground, you will be offered a variety of second language learners (competency level and ages) to teach to and will be observed and evaluated by experienced teachers.
